Starting in 2026, the Village of Western Springs embarked on a 15-month process to update its Comprehensive Plan. A comprehensive plan is a roadmap for managing change and shaping the future. It fuses findings from community outreach with data and local analysis to create a framework for proactive decision-making. Though the Comprehensive Plan is primarily a land use plan, it will analyze, envision, and set forward recommendations for other aspects of the Village, including transportation, sustainability, community character and design, economic development, facilities, and more!

To ensure the Plan accurately reflects the community’s values and aspirations, we need you! Come visit us this Friday at Gathering on the Green to learn more about the plan, share your ideas for Western Spring’s future, and hear about upcoming opportunities to engage with the planning process.
